The Story Behind The Center

The Center for Wholistic Sexuality was born from the heart and mind of its founder, former nurse-practitioner-midwife, Sheri Winston. In her decades of clinical and counseling work, predominately with women, she became sadly aware of the great need that we have in our culture to heal our sexuality and learn to utilize our full sexual potential.

Ten years ago Sheri retired from birthing babies and began to birth a new vision. The core ideas of an integrated, healthy, deliciously pleasurable and ecstatic model of sexuality became the Wholistic Sexuality paradigm. As a life-long educator, she then developed a curriculum based on that vision, an ever-expanding set of classes that cover a wide spectrum of learning needs about sexuality and relationships.

Recently, Sheri has taken her vision further. With the idea of spreading this new paradigm of loving and healing sexuality to everyone she created the Center for Wholistic Sexuality. It's the next step in realizing the dream of a world where sex is understood, honored, and free from shame. She sees a future where we celebrate our bodies and their ecstatic potential, where relationships based on integrity, compassion and love are normal and where sex is a healthy celebrated aspect of humanity.

The Center for Wholistic Sexuality offers empowering erotic and intimate arts education via classes, programs, and presentations, both distance and in-person by its founder, Sheri Winston. We also offer a Library and Learning Center where you can go to read and hear more about the concepts and practices. In addition, we have downloadable and print materials.

Sheri is also in process of working on a major Book that contains that core curriculum of Wholistic Sexuality so that many can benefit from healing their sexuality, having enhanced sexual experiences, and being in authentic and satisfying relationships, with themselves and others.

As a prolific writer and educator, Sheri is utilizing the Center as a conduit to bring this information to the masses and into the mainstream, currently by creating easily accessible E-books. Soon we'll be offering teleseminars for distance learning. Planned projects for the Center include webinars, audio downloads, videos, DVDs, a variety of print materials and lots more E-books.

Her integral model of sexuality and dynamic, accessible, information-rich and humorous teaching style has drawn a community of people around her, who are also committed to seeing this vision become reality. We invite you to become part of our sexual transformation team! There are many levels of involvement. You can simply receive our newsletter or get a FREE Ebook.
